Research Funding Opportunities

Along with the facilitation of various forms of research support, such as the hiring of student research assistants, research travel expenses, survey implementations and more, the CSI provides limited research funding for faculty and graduate students.  Additionally, the CSI distributes information about upcoming funding opportunities that align with its mission.

CSI Calls for Proposals

The CSI sponsors competitions for Research Cluster Awards, Faculty Fellowships and Dissertation Research Awards.

Other Campus-Based Calls

Academic Senate faculty are also eligible for research grants from the Academic Senate itself, as well as from other ORUs, such as the Center for Black Studies Research, the Interdisciplinary Humanities Center (IHC) and from the Institute for Social Behavioral and Economic Research (ISBER).

Extramural Grants & Fellowships

The CSI distributes information regarding upcoming extramural funding opportunities that align with it's mission. The Office of Research provides access to a comprehensive database of funding opportunities worldwide and across all disciplines. Faculty and students may perform funding searches, create their own weekly email funding alert, save lists of funding opportunities, search for potential research colleagues on- or off-campus and match profiles to funding opportunities.
