Belize Field School

The Office of Educational Partnerships has collaborated with the Department of Anthropology and the CSI to support archaeological research experiences for undergraduates at La Milpa in Belize.

For the last two years, UCSB students have joined the UT Austin collaborative project at the Programme for Belize on the Rio Bravo Conservation Area. Under the authorization of Professor Fred Valdez (ARCH, UT), Toni Gonzalez has supervised teams of undergraduates and community college students in the excavation of Mulch'en Witz.
