Funding

The Chicano Studies Institute (CSI) at UC Santa Barbara is pleased to announce the availability of funding to support the initiation and/or development of collaborative research projects by faculty doing work aligned with our mission.   This call offers up to $2000 for AY20-21 activities and will prioritize proposals aiming to bring faculty and graduate students together to explore the possibilities of new collaborations.  Groups that have been formed in previous periods and now have plans to develop or expand are encouraged to apply.

The Chicano Studies Institute invites applications for funding for graduate student research addressing social and/or environmental justice topics affecting U.S. Latina/o/x communities. Research grants will be made up to $2,500 for a twelve-month period beginning 7/1/2020. Fellowships will be made up to $2,500 as summer stipends.
